On the morning of Thursday, December 19, 2024, Underwood’s 45th birthday, the State carried out his sentence- its fourth execution and the 25th execution in the U.S. this year- at the Oklahoma State Penitentiary. Bolan was pronounced dead at 10:14 a.m.
