Sunlight on the Windowsill

Small Heat.

By Novel AllenPublished 3 months ago โ€ข 1 min read

Golden beam arrives

dust floats in warm quiet light,

winter leans to dream.

Sunlight on the sill,

Glow barely kisses the ice,

but it warms the soul.

You skillfully convey winterโ€™s quiet introspection, balancing the cold of ice with the warmth of sunlight, evoking both physical and emotional resonance.

Well-wrought! "Winter leans to dream" evokes to my mind Old Man Winter closing his eyes as he leans into and faces the sun. Great line!
