When sadness and chaos reign,
and all that is felt is fear and pain.
A prayer rings out still and small,
in the middle, in the midst of it all.
Heard by the King of kings.
In His ears, my voice rings.
"Be still and know", He answers most assuredly too.
For He walks before you and beside you.
Through everything, around the clock,
He is there protecting the flock.
Peace will reign supreme yet still.
It is His Word; it is His will.

To me, it cuts right through the fog of the illusion of normality that permeates our lives.
