The Noodles
Everyone laughed at me at first and they did so without any understanding. How you could possibly want that animal? They would say with disgust. I payed no mind to them as I saved for a year just to afford the start up costs. Who knew that buying an exotic animal would cost so much? I did hours and hours worth of research to try and understand everything I could before ever taking the first steps of getting one. Being 19-years-old I had essentially no experience supporting anything other than myself, so I wanted to be as prepared as possible to take on such a responsibility.

Ferrets in the Time of Corona
I am an animal-lover. I am vegetarian. I volunteered at a cat shelter for a long time. I feed the squirrels in my backyard forest with my mom. I help my mom name the squirrels. We have never gone without cats at home. I have been volunteering with an organization which benefits the rainforests of Costa Rica, as well, as their recording secretary for the board of directors.

I've wanted ferrets since I was a kid; they're fun, small animals that always seem so interested in everything you're doing. I've never been a fan of dogs, but I've always wanted a small animal I could take out into the public and spend a lot of time with. Ferrets seemed to be that perfect creature.
