How Will You Look Back On This?
A Frame For Your Life

How do most people look back on their lives?
Do you know?
Or perhaps a better question...
Do you actually want to know?
I ask because the answer is not a pretty one...
In many respects, it is depressing.
Here is the answer...
98% of people look back on their lives...
With regret.
They feel sorrow...
Remorse...
And a sense of loss.
This is what their lives amount to at the end of the day.
That is the reality.
Most people work hard...
They put all of their efforts into a select few things...
And in the process...
Destroy their minds, bodies, and spirits...
All while saying that it is for a reason...
But what reason?
I ask because for whatever reason they seem to be doing it for...
Is not a good enough reason that they felt it was worth it at the end of their lives.
It still leads to a life of ultimate regret.
You may even be doing it right now...
Already living a life where the end result will become this.
How will you look back on this?
If you came to the end of your life...
And...
This...
Was what you had for it...
How would you look at your life?
Most people already know the answer...
Yet...
They will not change how they live.
Not in any large ways...
Nor in any small ways.
They will continue to live their life as they have been living.
Not only that...
But they will create a habit of living in this way.
That habit will become so ingrained...
Whether it is in their actions...
Or in what they believe about themselves...
That when the opportunity they had hoped for comes that could change their lives...
They will pass it up.
It results in more regret...
All that weighs upon us so heavily at the end of our lives.
We start out our lives with so much hope...
Ready for anything and everything...
But slowly...
Like sand falling through an hourglass...
Grain...
By grain...
It falls around us...
Surrounding us...
Restricting us as it falls around our bodies...
Until it rises higher and higher...
Locking us in place...
As it wraps around our throats...
And the mountain of grains continues to fall upon us...
A mountain of regret.
Is this what you want your life to become?
For as disheartening as this all may sound...
There is one glimmer of hope...
2% of people do not look at their lives like this.
But what is different about these 2%?
It is how they choose to live.
They pay attention to how most people live their lives...
The norms...
The average...
And they purposefully choose to live in a different way.
When people say that "this" is how you are supposed to live...
They do it another way.
Because they already know...
That how most people do it...
The norms...
The average...
Ends up with those individuals lying on their deathbed feeling regret.
So why travel the path that already ends in a way we know does not work?
If you travel a different road, though...
Will it all just magically work out?
I cannot tell you for sure...
But at least if you try it out...
By the time you are on your deathbed, you will be able to take heart...
Knowing...
That you did what was in your power to discover the answer for yourself.
How will you look back on this?
