Scrap Love by Tracy 💜
Hi I’m Tracy, creator of Scrap Love. I make original textile artwork by cutting down old clothes and unwanted fabrics, then stitching them back together in unique and unexpected ways. This craft of mine started in April of 2020 as a way to pass the time during quarantine. Up until then I had been working in a costume shop that made mascot costumes and puppets for live entertainment venues. If you ever saw Sesame Street Live or Paw Patrol Live, you saw my work in action. In the shop, there were always piles of fabrics that were up for grabs as room had to be made for new inventory, and I ended up amassing a huge amount of textiles without knowing exactly what I was going to do with them.

Holding Something Beautiful
There is something frenzied and almost beautiful about the way I collage. I collect a stack of magazines, and then, almost as if I’m going to war against the paper with scissors as my only weapon, I attack with a vicious hunger, pulling out the images that strike me in some way. I often end up with way more images cut out than I can even use.

Every Book Needs a Mark!!!
When I craft I make bookmarks. This craft brings me so much joy because I love books, so much so, that I have turned my office into an at home library. I am currently chasing my dream of writing and publishing books so when writers block hits or I just can’t handle sitting at the computer I make bookmarks.

Show Your Jugs
Jugs. It amazes me how one 4-letter word conjures up a thousand emotions. Is it vulgar slang for a woman's breasts? A synonym for prison? For me, my jugs are a tribute to my mom whose breasts betrayed her by welcoming an enemy into the safe harbor of her bosom and swept her away in the swift current of cancer.

I Can See The Future (And It's So Bright!)
Did you know you can make your fantasies become your reality by thinking about and visualizing yourself already having the things you want most in life? It's a technique I use every day called manifestation, and I'm going to teach you how to do it.

CFT Flowers
One of the things that makes me extremely uncomfortable about being a doting old cat lady is that I indulge my furry friends and feed them the stuff that comes in the tiny, aluminium ring pull tins - which means lots of packaging to throw out. Sure, they're recyclable, but what if I could MAKE something with them? Not only do I have an ongoing supply of art materials, I'm also able to create gorgeous, never-die flowers.

Leathercraft
According to Genesis, God was the first leathercrafter. When epic dumbasses Adam and Eve ate from the Tree of Knowledge, they became self-aware. They realized they were naked, and so they hid. God came to visit and found the kids hiding in the bushes. It didn't take long to realize that the kids had made a royal mess of things, and now they couldn't stay in the playpen anymore. So God made them clothes from animal skins, and booted them out of the Garden of Eden. And here we are.

Create Yourself
Do you ever look at somebody and wonder.. what are they thinking? Reading someone’s mind could be an awesome superpower! However, according to science, we cannot telepathically communicate, nor does any human have the power to read minds. I know, I know, what a bummer huh? Let me ask you another question. Do you have memories? Of course you do, all humans do. Would you like to preserve those memories? Put the memory somewhere that you could never forget them? Or how about a fear, or a medical condition, such as anxiety? How do you cope with these things? Well, let’s talk about something that truly changed my life. Not only is it fun, and amazingly helpful, it has somewhat cured me, of all the mentioned above. What is this life changing craft, which I speak? It’s called Journaling!
