Critiques Needed: First pages of Project Styx. Top Story - January 2024. Content Warning.
Authors note: I would like constructive critiques on the first pages of a sci-fi fantasy book I am working on. I would like to know first impressions and things that need to be worked on. This is so I can get an idea of what an agent or editor might think. I also know that this is long—no need to read the whole thing, in fact, tell me when you lose interest.

Navigating the Storm: The Timeless Debate on India's Uniform Civil Code
William Carlos famously said, "Time is a storm in which we are all lost." This quote fits with the timing and situation with which the Uniform Civil Code has been brought up into the limelight. It seemed an impetuous and nimble idea to prompt a heated discussion about UCC. The tenor of various religious leaders and politicians changed when the "Law Commission of India" announced to enlighten itself with the advice of all people of India regarding UCC.

Justice or Discrimination
In the new year, the castigation of Indian laws vis-a-vis the laws that try to alleviate the circumstances by commiserating with women has increased. The enlightenment of this discrimination, as referred to by some people, is taking a fillip among the masses, especially in youth through socio-legal influencers such as Amish Aggarwala. There is nothing wrong with it but reverberating the same point makes the whole idea of amending the laws for better equality defunct as the people prima facie abominate the whole apparatus of the judicial system with a knee-jerk reaction. And this surely creaks the people’s trust in our independent judiciary which has made many precedents of ensuring equality.

Two Female Coming-of-Agers
If you've ever so much as glanced over my writing on Vocal, you'll agree there's quite a good deal of coming-of-age in there. However, you'll probably also agree it seems to be written exclusively from a male perspective. The following plea for feedback was prompted by my friend Staringale, who read and gave me some very kind comments on one of the few exceptions to the above rule. This in turn started me thinking about the general absence of female coming-of-age tales within my body of work.

Happy New Year!!!!
It is hard to believe that another year is coming to an end and new one is beginning. It just seems that 2023 just started and now 2024 is starting. What does a new year mean to you? It is a chance to make a new you or a chance to show others who you are.

'Conquering Headache' is a professional book that was compiled by Rapoport, Sheftell, and Tepper. This book will start to teach you all about the types of headaches that are out there from the tension-type headache, the two types of migraine headaches, the cluster headache, as well as headaches that maybe caused by alcohol, the environment, etc. There are also various treatments mentioned other then medications like relaxation and biofeedback and a few others. This is an older academic book, but the basic facts still exists and I know there has been changes made since the early 2000's when this textbook was origionally published.
