Things I Don't Say When I Read Your AI Poem

Oh Wow, You Wrote That?

Oh wow, you wrote that? That’s... neat.

It flows so smooth, like factory meat.

The metaphors slap like a user guide,

With all the heart of a Tesla ride.

You nod, all proud, "I just sat down!"

While ChatGPT wears your creative crown.

I smile, tight-lipped, my soul a scream,

As your “original” reads like a loading screen.

That twist at the end? Yeah, blew me away

Like a toaster printing Hemingway.

The line about stars? So cosmic. So bold.

Almost like code someone subtly stole.

Do I say it? “Hey... did you write this with help?”

But you beam like a toddler who built a shelf.

I choke on my truth, I sip my coffee,

While Clippy weeps in binary.

I wanna ask, “Do you miss the mess?

The ugly drafts? The panic stress?”

But instead I nod and bite my lip

Your poem’s a vibe. A microchip.

So read it again, you silicon bard

Just don’t call it “raw.” That part is tired.

Excellent take on the challenge… liked: “ But you beam like a toddler who built a shelf.” We’d appreciate such poems more if they were a toddler’s learning attempts.

That user guide line, slapped back a thousand times. Damn. The line about the stars 👌🏾 had to come from somewhere. A real mind. Stolen. The ache of an author I feel it. 'Silicon bard' ☠️ This was very relatable. The lines were smart, the anger brought through without missing a beat. Every rhythm accounted for. Amazing! Congratulations on your leaderboard placement, Tim. 🎉🎉🎉

  • Wooohooooo congratulations on your Leaderboard placement! 🎉💖🎊🎉💖🎊

This is hilarious, but oh so true! Nicely done!

I love this. As someone who loves writing poetry and spends so much time thinking in metaphors quotes, it drives me insane to see poetry I feel like they “received help” writing. Brilliantly done!

Omg I love this! I feel like real poets can clock an AI poem from a mile away. They all have the same cadence, structure, and odd language choices where it's like yeah I guess you can use that word but most people don't use it like that lol

"Your poem’s a vibe. A microchip." Thank you for writing what people like me want to say!

  • Ha! Yes, so so true.. exactly what we are all thinking.. but you created a fab imagery of that!!

  • Lol, just say whatever comes to your mind. Do it for the plot 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 Loved your poem!

“Clippy weeps in binary” That line shook me with its visual! Mirth, dismay, all present!

I love this one! I think it's tied equally for me with the poem you wrote about the refrigerator light. The points in this are wonderful and also makes me giggle.
