She Knows What She Wants

She walks forward with a steady gaze,

Dark hair resting against a coat rich and deep.

Blue eyes bright with thought and decision,

A woman who has measured the road ahead.

The world often asks her to soften her steps,

To question the strength in her voice.

But she has already weighed those old expectations,

And placed them behind her like dust in the street.

Her hands move with calm certainty,

Not hurried, not unsure, not hidden.

Confidence rests in the way she stands,

Like a quiet flame that never bends.

She has known doubt, she has known judgement,

Yet neither could shape the path she walks.

Inside her lives a clear direction,

A compass that never asks permission.

The coat wraps around her like armor in winter,

The dress carries the calm of someone prepared.

Not for attention, not for approval,

But for the life she intends to claim.

Some will watch and wonder who she thinks she is.

She knows the answer already.

She is the keeper of her own choices,

And she walks exactly where she chooses to go.
