I’m Sure There Was an Angel
And there must be a plan

Well, I know that there’s a reason
I know there must be a plan
Someone touched me on the shoulder
Said you can be a better man
You need to take your chances
To make your life is not complete.
🪽🪽🪽🪽
I’m sure there was an angel
Watching over me
Telling me that all was well
Protecting and looking after me.
🪽🪽🪽🪽
As I hovered over people
With noises ringing in my ear
Confusion linked with chaos
And a modicum of fear
As the centre of attention
I looked down, was that really me?
🪽🪽🪽🪽
I looked down in despair
At the lady holding my hand
Kneeling there beside me
Telling me to squeeze her hand
It is not your time to go to sleep
Hold on for as long as you can.
🪽🪽🪽🪽
I struggled to the brightest light
And saw myself once more
And that angel took me by the hand
Lead me back down to the ground
As she backed away into the light
I knew there was a plan.
🪽🪽🪽🪽
I’m sure there was an angel
Watching over me
Telling me that all was well
It wasn't my time, you see.

[A/n: Last year, I wrote a story about a strange encounter I had earlier in my life, "Suddenly, There Was a Bright Light I Didn't Understand." It is related to what some might call an out-of-body experience. I have often thought about it and how it affected my life. I guess my time wasn't up.
Till next time,
