Golden Memories Sonnet
My favourite childhood snack and I still eat it.

Thank you Getty images for this.
In tender years, with senses wide awake,
I savored hues of dawn, a morning bright,
As golden beams on bread would gently break,
A feast of warmth, a childhood's sheer delight.
With tiny hands, I'd spread the creamy paste,
Smooth peanut butter, rich and sweet in taste,
Then spoon the jelly, a crimson cascade,
A symphony of flavors so embraced.
The crackle of the toaster's gentle hum,
A melody that danced in kitchen air,
Transformed plain bread to memories, become
The essence of a snack so fond and rare.
Though years have passed, those moments still hold dear,
In peanut buttered dreams, nostalgia's cheer.
