My feet sink into the wet sand as the tide flushes by, covering everything in disappearing crystals of warm ocean. I’m running, I think, and the spray clings to my ankles, obscuring my legs from the lens.

My youngest daughter, Blessed, was married a couple of years ago, and the photo I captured of my father walking her down the garden ("geard" Old English) wedding aisle will forever hold a special place in my heart.
