INTRODUCING MAYLIE: A LITTLE BIT ABOUT HER MUSIC AND LIFE

I discussed about music and life with the awesome artists Maylie. Who is she, what we can expect from her? The interview is right here:

Q: Why did you choose music?

MAYLIE: I've always wanted to leave a mark behind me in the form of songs and stories. It's very important to me!!

Q: What can we expect from you?

MAYLIE: Many things. Quality. I prefer less but better quality. The project took more than five years to prepare, and for good reason: it's a whole story dedicated to my teenage years. And I have something to share with the world.

Q: Let's talk a little bit about you. What do you love?

MAYLIE: There are so many things I like, so many that I can't even remember them all. I love animals, my favourite animals are red pandas and forest cats. I also love to collect all sorts of little things, haha. Most often you can find me wearing headphones. I jokingly call myself 'headphone girl' cause I feel more comfortable wearing them. I love teddy bears, and I'd like them to be associated with me. Also love K-pop, I was really into it at one point. I adore purple and red, especially red in clothing. My fav TV series is Gotham, even though I'm not a fan of the DC universe at all. I love a creepy atmosphere, especially in my songs. And I also love my universe, which is actually deeper than it seems!! But more on that later. I love taking photos. I often hear people criticising those who take photos of anything and everything. It's strange, because I consider myself a great photographer.

Q: What personal details can you share? What is your real name? When were you born? What kind of child were you? Tell us more.

MAYLIE: My name is Anastasia Maly. That's the short version of my full name. But I don't like it when my real name is mentioned. My name is Maylie and I'm an artist and a songwriter. I was born on December 2, 2004. I was a normal child but serious and shy. You rarely see me smiling in my childhood photos. Just like now. I don't like smiling in photos. I grew up in an ordinary family that love to do art.

Q: What inspires you and your music?

MAYLIE: I inspire myself. Different stories, mostly unpleasant ones, personal mistakes. But if we're talking about other artists. I listen to different music, different artists. But most of all, I want to say THANKS to bands like BLACKPINK, LE SSERAFIM, as well as artists like Melanie Martinez, Marina, Britney Spears, Avril Lavigne, Charli XCX.

Q: Give us some spoilers. What are you preparing?

MAYLIE: Well... my first debut single will be in the style of the 2000s and will be called 'Party And Escape'. This song is pretty cool until you start thinking about the meaning, which is quite profound. The second single I plan to release is called 'She Got A Face'. The atmosphere of this single is summery. And there's also a teddy bear as a spoiler.

Q: Are you expecting popularity?

Are you afraid of it?

MAYLIE: Popularity, huh? I don't make music primarily for popularity. But if you share your art with the world, you will find both admirers and not admires. I guess I'm afraid of that.

Q: What would you like to say to the world?

MAYLIE: Do what you like without fear of being judged. If you do what you like, it means you are doing it for yourself and not for the approval of others.
